Due to the current situation regarding the Covid-19 outbreak, The Directors of Saturn Sales & Services Ltd. would like to ask for your understanding with regards to all web site orders placed.
Saturn will continue to support the Health Care Industry with regards to the supply of necessary equipment and emergency system backup. However, as advised by our Government we are operating with a reduced staffing level. We therefore ask all our clients to accept that on some occasions it may not be possible to deliver orders for the next day. Please be assured that we will continue to support you as well as we can during this difficult time.
Saturn would also like to send its most grateful thanks to all of you Healthcare workers on the front line. You are the real heroes!
AIRX4 Guardian Addressable Infra Red Receiver
For use on older systems as replacement or additional receivers. For new systems, use AIRX7 receiver.
The AIRX4 Addressable Infra Red Receiver is a key part of the personal alarm system. It is housed in a standard 'single gang' electrical back box. The AIRX4 comprises of a signal receiver and decoder, confidence LED and address switch bank. All receiver units use software algorithm which prevents several units being activated from one Personal Activation Device.
There are removable jumpers used to enable/disable the Confidence LED and Tamper switch.
The Confidence/Reassurance LED gives a green 'heartbeat flash' when the unit is in standby to indicate that it is operational, and flashes red when the unit is activated by an infra red signal.
AIRX7 Guardian High Frequency Addressable Infra Red Receiver
The AIRX7 MkII High Frequency Addressable Infra Red Receiver is housed in a standard 'single gang' electrical back box. The AIRX7 comprises of a four infra red signal receivers and a decoder, confidence LED and two address switch banks. Because of the higher frequency of operation of the AIRX7, interference problems from high frequency switched lighting technology are negated.
The AIRX7 can be configured to act as a slave to other AIRX7 Receivers to save addresses on larger systems. A typical example of how slaves would be used is to have one master unit in a long corridor and the rest of the receivers in the same corridor to be configured as slave receivers which will take their address information from the master. Should the corridor be reconfigured and further separate addresses become needed to identify separate sections of the corridor (for instance fire doors may be added half way down) then it is a simple procedure to reconfigure one or more of the slave receivers as masters and give them their own unique address code.
There are removable jumpers use to enable/disable the Confidence LED and Tamper switch.
AIRX8 Guardian External Infra-Red Receiver
The Guardian AIRX3 is an addressable external infra red receiver unit. This component of the personal alarm system is housed within an IP65 rated weatherproof case, designed specifically to provide coverage for external areas such as courtyards, patios and gardens. The installation and operation of this unit is similar to that of the AIRX4 and AIRX7 units, with the addition of extra connections for external call and reset buttons.
All cable entry points are made through the cable gland at the bottom of the unit to ensure that no moisture ingresses into the electronics.
The design of the Guardian AIRX3 , along with the sun filter, means that it is immune to interference from sunlight. The unit should be mounted high on an external wall to prevent tampering. In the event of tampering with the AIRX3, the unit has a tamper switch built into it, which will alert the Display units.
As with all the Guardian addressable IR receivers, the unit is addressable. It has a removable jumper to disable the two colour reassurance LED which, when active, indicates that the unit is operational.
ARFX5 Guardian IP65 Addressable RF Receiver
The Guardian ARFX5 is an addressable RF receiver. This personal alarm system component is housed within a metal IP65 rated weatherproof enclosure, designed specifically to provide coverage for external areas such as car parks, patios and gardens, or to provide back up for the infra red receivers inside a building. The installation and operation of this unit is similar to that of the AIRX3 External IR Unit.
The RF range can be affected by many factors including the weather and local conditions (e.g. location of buildings, large metal objects, cars, vans, chain link fences etc) and it is strongly recommended that a site survey is done to ascertain the correct number and locations of ARFX5 units required.
DISP1 Guardian Standard LCD Alphanumeric Display
The DISP1 Alphanumeric Display Unit component of the personal alarm system, is the device used to sound the alarm and identify the location of each incident along with the level of assistance required. The display can also show the identity of the staff member calling for assistance.
The DISP1 features a two line 16 character back lit LCD display and a multi level adjustable alarm. The unit features different tones for different levels of call as well as having the capability of sounding a different tone for selected call points (doors, drugs cupboards, telephone etc). The DISP1 can also be setup to display specific call points (zoning) if required. There is an Open Collector output which can be connected to the RB1 Relay Board or used directly to trigger external equipment. All DISP1 Display Units are identical, but each can be configured to operate independently or as a slave display to a master unit
STC5 Guardian HF Infra-Red Personal Activation Device
The Guardian STC5 Infra Red Transmitter Personal Activation Device comprises of Infra Red Transmitters, battery monitor circuit with confidence LED, push button activator and attack level "retaining peg" activation method. With the pin removed the unit will transmit the call signal for up to 8 minutes before shutting down to allow the call to be reset in the event of a hostage situation.
The Guardian STC5 transmits on a high infra red frequency as well as the standard infra red frequency. This means it is ideal for use on sites where high frequency switched lighting has been installed, and overcomes the potential problems associated with this type of lighting technology. It can also be used on older sites where the standard Guardian AIRX4 IR Receivers have been installed.
STC8 Guardian HF IR and RF Personal Activation Device
Please Note: Programming details will need to be supplied for this items when ordering.
The Guardian STC6 Dual Technology Personal Activation Device comprises not only of infra red transmitters, battery monitor circuit with confidence LED, push button activator and attack level retained peg activation method, but also has a radio transmitter and aerial built into the unit. The unit, once activated, sends an Infra red signal as described above, and simultaneously sends the same codes via the radio transmitter.
This dual technology provides RF back up to the infra red, or additional coverage to larger external areas such as Staff Car Parks, where it is impractical to use infra red.
The Guardian STC6 transmits on a high infra red frequency as well as the standard infra red frequency. This means it is ideal for use on sites where high frequency switched lighting has been installed, and overcomes the potential problems associated with type of lighting technology.
